Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a man wanted on weapons, assault and menacing charges.
The Yonkers Police Department Warrant Squad issued an alert this week regarding 36-year-old John Degree, who was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree assault, and second-degree menacing. He later failed to appear for court proceedings and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Investigators described Degree as 5-foot-9 weighing approximately 170 pounds with a medium build, black hair, and brown eyes. He has a mustache and various tattoos on both arms. His last known address was on Locust Hills Avenue.
Anyone with information regarding Degree's whereabouts, or who recognizes him, has been asked to contact the Yonkers Police Warrant Squad by calling (914) 377-7253.
